The origin of our business can be traced back to May 1997 with the founding of Daqing Sun Moon Vegetable to develop and manufacture soy protein isolate.
In May 1999, Daqing Sun Moon Star was formed as a Sino-foreign equity joint venture between Daqing Sun Moon Vegetable and Mazuri, a company co-owned by Executive Chairman and CEO, Mr Ming Dequan and former Non-Executive Director, Mr Cheung Wai Kwok that was producing protein powders. This resulted in the Group expanding its product range to include protein powders.
In preparation of our listing on the Singapore Stock Exchange, Celestial NutriFoods Limited was incorporated in Bermuda in September 2003 as an investment holding company of our Group. The Group has four subsidiaries, namely, Celestial (Singapore) NutriFoods Pte. Ltd., Clear Faith Holdings Ltd, Max Dragon Investments Ltd and Mazuri Holdings Corp..
