Mr. Zhao was appointed as an Executive Director of the Company on 26 September 2003. He is primarily responsible for the management of the Group’s operations in the PRC, in particular for overseeing the production, product development, fi nance and accounting and administrative matters.

Mr Zhao graduated from the County Enterprise Adult Mid-Level Professional School, Heilongjiang, PRC in 1982, majoring in commercial accounting. Mr. Zhao also obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from People’s University of the PRC in 2003. In 2006, Mr. Zhao was appointed as a member of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference for Daqing City.

Mr. Zhou was appointed as an Executive Director of the Company on 26 September 2003. His role involves the supervision and management of the Group’s product research and development, as well as quality control. Mr. Zhou has accumulated about 20 years of experience in PRC food industry. Mr Zhou graduated from Guangzhou Light Industry Department University in the PRC in 1989, majoring in food engineering.

Mr. Lai was appointed as an Independent Director of the Company on 12 July 2004. He is a certifi ed public accountant practising under the name of SK Lai & Co. He has more than 27 years of extensive and varied experience in accounting, tax, corporate and fi nancial matters and had previously worked with KPMG in Singapore and in the United States before he set up his own practice in 1994.

Mr. Lai is a Fellow of the Association ed Kingdom, and the Institute of Certifi ed Public Accountants of Singapore. He is currently a member of the Audit Committee of the Singapore Sports Council and the Finance Committee of the Singapore Scout Association. He also serves as an Independent Director on a number of other companies listed on SGX.

Mr. Ma was appointed as an Independent Director of the Company on 21 November 2003. Mr. Ma is currently a director Sichuan Unionsun Electric Power Limited and Sichuan Unionsun Yangkou Real Estate Limited. Besides, Mr. Ma serves as an Independent Director of China Oilfi eld Technology Services Group Limited, which is listed on SGX, and China Zenith Chemical Group Limited, which is listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Mr. Ma has accumulated about 20 years of experience in areas of audit, fi nancial and management accounting and taxation.

Mr. Ma obtained a Professional Diploma in accounting from The Polytechnic of Hong Kong (currently The Hong Kong Polytechnic University). He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certifi ed Accountants and an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certifi ed Public Accountants.

Mr. Loo Choon Chiaw was appointed as an Independent Director of the Company on 30 June 2006. He has been an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore since 1981. He is the Managing Partner of Loo & Partners, a law fi rm in Singapore. He qualifi ed as a Barristerat- Law of Lincoln’s Inn, London and obtained his Master of Law degree from the University of London. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London, and a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, Beijing Arbitration Commission and the Wuhan Arbitration Commission. Mr. Loo is presently an independent director of AA Group Holdings Ltd, Allied Technologies Limited, China Milk Products Group Limited, China Sun Bio-chem Technology Group Company Ltd., Ionics EMS, Inc. and FerroChina Limited. Mr. Loo was previously an independent director of OKP Holdings Limited and Spindex Industries Limited.
